We follow the ICAEW Code of Ethics and the IFT code of ethics. You can read the ICAEW's rules and regulations at icaew.com/regulation and find out about the IFT at instituteforturnaround.com.
We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not give regulated investment advice, arrange deals in investments, approve financial promotions, carry out audits, give legal or tax advice, advise on pensions or insurance, take insolvency appointments or hold client money. Where you need one of those, we say so and help you find the right professional.
Professional indemnity insurance
Our professional indemnity insurer is Hiscox Insurance Company Limited, 22 Bishopsgate, London EC2N 4BQ. The cover extends to work carried out worldwide, but not to claims brought in the courts of the United States of America or Canada. We give this information under the Provision of Services Regulations 2009.
How we contract
Every engagement is under a signed engagement letter and our standard terms of business. The engagement letter names the version of the terms that applies. Our terms and each engagement are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Our fees are set out in each engagement letter. We do not sell services through this website and we do not take payment online.
Paying us safely
We will never tell you about a change to our bank details by email alone. Before you pay a new account, or any account for the first time, please phone us on a number you already hold for us and check the details with a Director. If something looks wrong, stop and call us.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with our work, please tell our Director, David Bailey, first, at enquiries@djwbandco.uk or by post to our registered office. We acknowledge a complaint within 5 working days and give you a full response within 30 days.
If you are still unhappy, you may complain to the ICAEW. Find out how at icaew.com/complaints.
For a complaint about how we use personal data, see our privacy notice.
Data protection
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, reference ZA792630. Our privacy notice explains how we use personal data and our cookie notice explains what this website stores on your device.
Client checks
As the law and the ICAEW require, we carry out identity and anti-money-laundering checks before every engagement. We start work when they are complete.
